The port of Livadia is located on the eastern side of the island and is the main point of arrival for most visitors.

Tilos is connected to Athens with regular ferry services from the port of Piraeus. The ferry connection is operated at least 2-3 times a week throughout the year. The Piraeus - Tilos route takes approximately 14 hours depending on the stops on the route.

Tilos is also connected by regular routes to the larger neighboring islands, such as Rhodes, Kalymnos and Kos.
