Sailing in the Ionian Sea
If your dream is a "boat" vacation, set your bow on the turquoise waters of the well-traveled Ionian Sea. Open at the bottom of the horizon, where the sky seems to touch the sea ∙ feel the sun, the sea breeze, the absolute feeling of freedom ∙ enjoy unique underwater landscapes at sea throw anchor in coves and hidden beaches, dive into emeralds like emeralds at night live romantic moments under the stars.

Nearby from the western coastline of mainland Greece, the famous Ionian Islands (Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Lefkada, Ithaca, Paxos, Kythira), surrounded by smaller island clusters, rock on their glistening blue sea breezes.

In case you do not have a sailing boat and you want to charter one, with or without crew, you can do it from Lefkada or Corfu which have the most organized marinas. Here, there are specialized offices that will help you choose the right boat for your needs, but also to plan your own sea route according to your interests.

Screw the anchors!
Driven by the wind, we raise sails and set sail for the floating paradises of the Ionian Islands. The preferences of seafarers are won by two routes. One starting from Corfu and one starting from Lefkada.

1st route: Corfu - Diapontia islands - Paxos - Antipaxos
From the marina of Gouvia make a route to the northwest to the Diapontia islands: Mathraki, Ereikousa, Othonoi. Three dots at the westernmost tip of Greece with unadulterated wild beauty, a hidden paradise for "wanted" modern Robinsons, but also those who seek the authentic meaning of the holiday: absolute relaxation and tranquility! In Mathraki you will moor in the port of Plakes, you will enjoy your swim in Portelo with the endless white sandy beach and you will enjoy unique underwater landscapes by diving on the northwest coasts. In the all-round, verdant Ereikousa you will swim in the beautiful Bragini beach. In Othonos you will discover wonderful coves and crystal clear beaches, accessible only by sea, you will dive in the Cave of Calypso and in Fyki Bay with the huge beach.

If your style is more cosmopolitan, shoot at full speed for Paxos, 7 p.m. south of Corfu. As you approach the port of Gaios, between the verdant islands of Panagia and Agios Nikolaos, which forms an impressive fjord, you will understand at first glance why Paxos is considered one of the most idyllic islands in Greece and beyond! The green island of Poseidon with its dreamy beaches, impressive geophysical formations, romantic Ionian corners and picturesque fishing villages is considered a must destination for Ionian seafarers. It is worth to wander around the island, moor in Longos for fresh fish, enjoy the sunset in the sheltered bay of Lakka, admire the impressive caves in Ahai and dive to the deserted beach Galazio. Then set sail for the tiny Antipaxos, 3 n.m. southeast of the port of Gaios. The real magic of the island is located on the famous exotic beaches of Voutoumi and Vraka, where the green seems to almost touch the sea.

2nd route: Lefkada - Prigiponnisia - Kefalonia - Ithaci
Starting from the organized marina in the cosmopolitan Nidri, set off for the Princes' Islands, the enchanting Polynesia opposite the southeast coast of Lefkada. Anchor for a refreshing dip off the coast of Scorpio, the famous refuge of Aristotle Onassis. Trim the sails and let the Maestro push you towards Meganisi with the lacy beaches, the sheltered harbors and the green coves, which create amazing fjords on the north side of the island. Further south, the "virgin" islets of Kalamos and Kastos, two secluded paradises with hidden beaches and an impressive network of sea caves are waiting for you to explore

Open to the sea for Kefalonia having as initial destination the picturesque, but also cosmopolitan Fiskardo, on the north side of the island. In case the "crowding of the sails" does not allow you to moor here, the bay of Argostoli, the marina in Lixouri, but also Agia Efimia, in the east, offer safe anchorages. Kefalonia has countless beaches, one better than the other: Petani, Platia Ammos, Koutsoupia, Dafnoudi, Foki, Vatsa, Atheras, Xi. Just opposite Kefalonia is the mythical Ithaca, home of Odysseus. The hospitable port of Vathi is flooded with sailors who want to feel the mysterious energy of the island. Unforgettable dives in crystal clear waters will be enjoyed in Afales, Schinos, Kathisma, Sykia, but also in the famous Gidaki.
