Info
The port at Vathy in Ithaki is considered one of the safest natural ports in Greece. It is located in the center of a very closed bay, which is closed opposite by the highest mountain of Ithaki, Mount Nerito. It serves the connection of Ithaca with Patras or Kyllini.

In the summer it is filled with boats, sailboats and speedboats from all over the world, who find shelter and enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape and the picturesque Vathy.

The jetty of the port in Vathy is located very close to the central square and the surrounding narrow streets that form the center of the market of Ithaki. Tourist accommodation and services are available here and easily accessible. The beach restaurants are right next door, you can easily reach them on foot.

The small island Lazaretto, which used to function as a sanatorium, is located in the middle of the port in Vathi. The landscape is very picturesque, with the red roofs of the houses standing out in the green nature that reaches the sea.
