Port of Rafina
Info
The port of Rafina is one of the largest ports in Greece and the second busiest port in Attica, with approximately 2 million passengers per year.
It is located on the north-eastern coast of Attica and collects a significant part of the traffic to the Cyclades islands. The port also serves ship routes to Crete and the islands of the North Aegean.
The port of Rafina is closer to the northwestern Cyclades than the other ports of Attica. For this reason, ferry routes from Rafina are the easiest and fastest way to reach some islands of the Cyclades, such as Andros and Mykonos.
The passenger port of Rafina has a large single pier, which has 13 passenger-ferry ship ramps and 2 passenger speedboat ramps. The berths of the ships are easily accessible on foot, as they are located a few meters from the port entrance.
During the summer, the traffic in the port of Rafina is usually increased.
At the entrance of the port there are 3 passenger waiting areas, 1 closed and 2 open with a canopy. Near the entrance and departure piers there are many shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as ticket offices, a bus stop and parking. Most are on Akti Andrea Papandreou Street, the coastal road that leads to the port.
