The port of Ios is one of the safest and windless ports of the Aegean.
The first sight that one sees as soon as the ship docks in the picturesque port is the small church of Agia Irini which is built at the right entrance of the port.
The port of Ios is a small natural bay protected from the winds and therefore hosts many sailing races. It is one of the ports that hosts the largest number of pleasure boats.
