The port of Volos is the main gateway between mainland Greece and the islands of the Sporades. In the port area there are 3 piers, 2 for commercial activities on the west side and the central pier where passenger ships depart.

The berths of passenger ships and speedboats at the main pier are very close to the center of Volos city, so access is easy on foot or by vehicle.
