Pera Gialos is the traditional port of Astypalaia, until recently, and the main one before the new one was created in Agios Andreas.

Boats from the nearby islands still dock at the port, such as the ship of the local line from Kalymnos, but also sailboats in the small marina that was created in recent years for this purpose.
