Limnos Island International Airport - Hephaestus, is located 18 km east of Myrina, which is the capital of the island of Limnos.

The name Hephaestus was given to the island's airport because of its relationship in antiquity with the god of fire Hephaestus.

Limnos Airport, with a runway length of 3,016 meters, is one of the largest in the Balkan Peninsula. The airport offers a variety of services, including a cafeteria, duty-free shops, an information desk, a police station, a 300-seat car park, car rental offices and a weather forecast desk.
